What Is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan. The word itself comes from two Japanese words ... rei meaning universal and ki meaning life force energy. Reiki works by channelling this universal life force energy to clear energetic blockages, calm the nervous system, and support the body's natural ability to heal itself.
During a Reiki session a practitioner uses their hands ... either placed lightly on the body or hovering above it ... to sense and move energy through the body's energetic field. The result is often a deep sense of calm, emotional release, and physical relaxation.
So What Is Distance Reiki?
Distance Reiki ... also called remote Reiki ... is exactly what it sounds like. A Reiki practitioner sends healing energy to a recipient who is not physically present. You don't need to be in the same room, the same city, or even the same country.
This works because energy is not limited by physical space. In Reiki Level 2 training, practitioners learn a specific symbol called Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen ... which roughly translates to "no past, no present, no future." This symbol acts as an energetic bridge, allowing the practitioner to connect with and send healing energy across any distance.
Does Distance Reiki Actually Work?
Yes. And the reason I'm so confident in that answer is simple ... energy doesn't need a physical body in the room to move. We already accept that radio waves, WiFi signals, and sound travel across distance without a physical connection. Energy healing works in a similar way.
Many people report feeling warmth, tingling, emotional releases, or a deep sense of peace during a distance Reiki session ... even without knowing exactly when the practitioner is working on them. Animals respond to it too ( I often share videos of my horse responding to the Reiki). Plants respond to it. The energy finds what it's meant to find.
What Happens During A Distance Reiki Session With Kimi?
When you book a distance Reiki session with me I work with your full name or your photo, and your intention for the session. I call in my guides, set sacred space, and work through your chakras ... sensing where energy is blocked, heavy, or depleted and channelling healing to those areas.
After your session I send you a personal written report or video sharing everything that came through ... what I felt in your energy field, any messages that came through, and where I focused the healing work. If you've also booked the oracle card reading add-on I'll pull your cards while the channel is still open and include those in your report too.
You don't need to do anything special to receive the healing. Some people like to set aside quiet time, others receive it in their sleep. The energy finds you wherever you are.
Who Is Distance Reiki For?
Distance Reiki is for anyone who feels called to it. It's particularly supportive for people who are going through periods of transition, emotional upheaval, stress, grief, or simply feeling energetically depleted and disconnected from themselves.
It's also a beautiful practice for empaths and highly sensitive people who absorb others' energy easily and need regular clearing and grounding.
